Take Action to Protect MediCal for All

The North Bay Labor Council has been invited to join the California Pan-Ethnic Health Network for this action. It is a combination press conference and rally. We will be talking with Sen. McGuire's staff.

Governor Newsom has proposed to cut Medi-Cal for immigrants in the state budget. We have only a short window to convince legislative leaders to REJECT these cuts, which include:

• Freezing enrollment of undocumented Californians in Medi-Cal

• Imposing $100 monthly premiums for undocumented and some legal resident immigrants in Medi-Cal

• Eliminating critical benefits for immigrants including long-term care, in home supportive services, and dental care

These cuts are discriminatory and will cause real harm to immigrant, disability, and older adult communities. We must speak out now!
