American Postal Workers Union Day Of Action

The American Postal Workers Union held its Craft Conferences and National Convention from July 12th, 2024, through July 18th, 2024, In Detroit, Michigan. Among the many resolutions, was a resolution which called for a “Day of Action” to be conducted by the APWU membership.

The Day of Action has been scheduled for October 1, 2024. On that day, the membership will take to the streets to educate the public about the need for better staffing, better service, the right to public comments, and a good Contract. What we will do is make the public aware that the better the staffing, the better the service. We also will inform them that Postmaster General Louis Dejoy is unveiling a plan to further slow down mail service. We intend to also discuss the rights of all employees to be treated with dignity and respect.
